Engine Oils
At Oleum Technologies Inc., our Oil Maintenance program aims to optimize engine performance and durability through rigorous oil management.
Our main objectives are to optimize:
-
The soot level
-
The basicity index (TBN)
-
The variation in viscosity
We monitor critical parameters related to combustion, air intake, cooling system sealing, and engine wear. Pre-established warning thresholds allow for rapid intervention to prevent major failures.
Factors that damage engine oil
• Temperature
• Oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen.
• Solid and liquid contaminants, external and internal
• Wear metals, soot, dust, etc.
• Water, glycol, fuel, etc.
• Precipitation of additives
Problematic behaviors and properties:
Evolution of quantities over time
Here are the analyses we perform:

Analyses
Gasoline/Diesel
Natural Gas/Propane
Elemental analysis (ICP-OES)
Kinematic viscosity (100 °C)
Infrared Analysis (FTIR)
